Spencer Mason
Spencer and Debbie Mason homeschooled their four children from birth through high school, starting in 1981. Now their four grandchildren are being homeschooled. Spencer has served on the NCHE board for 25 years—serving as Education Vice President, Administrative Vice President, Region 4 Director, advisor, and President. He now serves as Law and Policy Director where he managed the successful campaign to improve our homeschool law in 2013. Under his leadership, NCHE maintains a respected voice on both sides of the aisle in the legislature.
More than just a day at the legislature, it's a look at all three branches of government, a lesson in North Carolina history, and a great springtime outing in Raleigh! Meet other homeschoolers from around the state as we join together to express our appreciation for our elected officials and remind them of the great success of home educators in North Carolina.
